課程概述

本課程旨在介紹健康社會科學的基本概念與理論,包括健康社會學、健康心理學及健康人類學。內容介紹國內外健康不平等、求醫行為、社會與壓力、健康行為,以及健康相關的文化議題。本課程主要從三個向度來理解社會與健康的關係:1)社會脈絡;2) 心理機轉;3)文化慣習。社會脈絡面向指是從社會生態(social ecological model)模式,來探討影響健康及健康行為的社會決定因子(SDH),包括人際互動關係、家庭、工作類型、組織機構、社群、社區,以致於整個社會體制及文化規範來暸解行為形成的原因。心理機轉指的是個人如何回應社會與文化環境的挑戰、塑模、污名化與歧視等所引起的行為與意念的反饋,進而對健康產生影響。最後,我們也必須體認到一個社會所累積的文化對健康信念的影響,進一步影響個人對醫療系統的詮釋及選擇。由於生命與健康的現象錯綜複雜,從不同的角度加以檢視以瞭解問題的形成機轉,才能進一步從不同層次解決問題。
This course introduces the basic concepts and theories of health social sciences, including health sociology, health psychology and health anthropology.
The content of the course covers domestic and international health inequality, medical seeking behavior, society and stress, healthy behavior, and health-related cultural issues.
In this course, we will mainly understand the relationship between society and health from three aspects: 1) Social context; 2) Psychological mechanisms; 3) Cultural habitus. The social contextual orientation refers to the social ecological model to explore the Social Determinants of Health (SDH).
This aspect will understand the causes of behavior through interpersonal interaction, family, job type, organization, community, community, and even the entire social system and cultural norms. Psychological mechanism refers to how individuals respond the feedback on behaviors and ideas caused by challenges of the social and cultural environment, modeling, stigma, and discrimination this response has an impact on health. Finally, we must also realize the influence of a society’s accumulated culture on health beliefs, and this effect will further affect the interpretation and choice of the medical system by individuals. Because the phenomena of life and health are intricate and complicated, only by examining them from different angles to understand the formation mechanism of the problem can we further solve the problem from different levels. 

課程目標
培養學生認識重要社會與行為科學理論與概念,及其在健康與醫療上的應用,並能以此為基礎,探討當代健康議題。
修習本課程之後,學生能:
1. 瞭解健康的社會行為科學的相關理論與概念
2. 掌握文獻對健康的社會、心理、信念與行為等決定因子的研究成果
3. 運用相關健康社會行為科學的研究及概念來剖析當代健康議題。
Cultivate students' understanding of important social and behavioral science theories and concepts, and their applications in health research and can discuss contemporary health and public health issues based on the acquired theories and concepts in the course
After taking this course, students can:
1. Understand the relevant theories and concepts of healthy social behavior science
2. Grasp the importance and research results of social, psychological, belief, and behavior determinants of health in the academic literature
3. Use research and concepts related to health and social behavior science to analyze contemporary health and public health issues.
